Illegal drugs and drug addiction were seen as one of the country's worst issues. We cannot deny the reality that this issue has become quite prevalent in our culture and has a significant impact on a large number of individuals, especially young people. The youth, who are supposed "the hope of the future generations," are now being steadily devoured by this widespread addiction. Abuse of illegal substances has become increasingly prevalent. Illegal drug trafficking groups operate their networks in a well-organized and financially secure manner. Due to this existing problem that our organization is facing, the Philippine National Police, give their serious and more focused on addressing this problem, they focus on planning and formulating policies that strengthen drug control prevention. We cannot deny the fact that most of the crimes reported in the Philippines are drug-related crimes. The influence of methamphetamine or shabu can rapidly change the mood and can result in violent thoughts that can lead to committing crimes that can worsen the situation.
The government focuses on eliminating illegal drug cases, with the supervision of the chief of police, Digos City. PLTCOL HAMLET MONTEJO LERIOS, together with the cooperation of Digos City Drug Enforcement Unit, the suspect successfully arrested through the conducted anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation, I have witnessed the process of conducting such operations like that, From the planning to executing the operation, I have witnessed it all, I am truly amazed to the team because at first, the plan was at critical state because the suspect refused to deal with the team but through constant trying and working hard, the team successfully persuaded the suspect to transact personally, that is the time the team quickly proceeded at the meeting place. When we got there, we were silently observing from afar and as soon as the poseur buyer sends the signal, the team quickly apprehended the suspect and execute the proper procedure in doing buy-bust operations. Now the suspect was brought to the Digos City Police Station for further actions to be taken.
Even the darkest nights will end and the sun will rise [1] as Victor Hugo says, not all the time, criminals will always get away from the charges, there comes a time that justice will prevail and those crimes and violent actions will end. With the help of our organization, we will live in a community free from danger and fear. As public safety officers, we may face many challenges and obstacles that seem insurmountable. However, just as the night must give way to the day, our struggles will eventually pass, and we will emerge stronger and more resilient.
