PCPT PANSOY EXPLAINED THE PROCESS OF CHECKPOINT

Our lives and who we become as people are both molded by our dreams. Our desires, goals, and aspirations are motivated by them. We give ourselves objectives to aim for, goals to work toward, and ambitions to believe in by having a dream. Dreams offer us purpose in life and assist us in establishing our priorities. They inspire and drive us to live out our passions and create a lasting impression on society. Our aspirations provide us with a feeling of direction and significance, whether they are related to pursuing a job, raising a family, or improving the community.

January 15, 2023, is a day full of learning and experiences. First thing in the morning, PCPT PANSOY conducted a briefing for us and give some guidance and reminders on the upcoming activities we are about to witness. Our first activity is the on-the-spot checkpoint that we conducted near our residences. What have I noticed is when the community feels the presence of law enforcers near them, many of the community tend to avoid the law enforcers, so that I questioned myself and come up with an assumption that maybe the community tends to avoid our law enforcers for the reason that they are scared of the policemen/ women around them. I asked our supervisor about the assumption I have concluded, and she affirm it, the community tends to avoid the police because they are afraid of the possibilities that may happen, there are some controversial happened involving our policemen that are traumatizing. I admire our supervisor PCPT PANSOY because she is challenging the status quo, whenever a child passes by, she always waives her hand and smiles, in my own perception, just a little gesture of waiving and smiling to the community can bring a positive impact to the person and can change the perception of the community towards policemen/women.

I was also inspired by her journey, because she started as a patrol woman and gave her all efforts in striving hard until she reached the officer ship and now she is a Police Captain, she shared her struggles and hardships in achieving her dreams. She also gives an advice to us on how we should handle our men because she experienced different types of leaders and not all leaders have rapport among men, so she said that we need to always mind the welfare of our subordinates, not all the time our men is in a good condition, there are times that they have encountered family problems that can hinder them to perform their duties that is why we need to assess and be considerate in handling with our men, we are nothing without our men.

Pursuing our dreams can also be challenging, and it's important to remember that setbacks and failures are a normal part of the journey. But it's crucial to never give up on our dreams. Instead, we should view challenges and failures as opportunities for growth and learning. By persevering through difficult times, we can emerge stronger and more resilient, better equipped to achieve our goals.

In conclusion, our dreams have the power to shape our lives and shape the person we become. They give us direction, motivation, and purpose, and help us to grow and develop as individuals. It's important to never stop dreaming, to believe in ourselves and our abilities, and to pursue our dreams with determination and perseverance. By doing so, we can achieve our greatest potential and live the life we truly want. Challenges are not hindrances in making our dreams.
